Collection: The Eclipse of Human Discretion

In The Eclipse of Human Discretion, I examine the long-term consequences of human choices. The first piece in this series envisions a future where deer and forests no longer exist outside of virtual reality, as represented by distant watchers peering through binoculars. The second piece critiques unsustainable consumption, portraying a man at a table lamenting the disappearance of meat. These works use collage and printer paper rather than paint to emphasize text and form, reinforcing their message. The arrangement of words, such as "forest" shaping the trees in one piece and "beef" forming the table in another, visually reinforces the themes of loss and consequence.
